Behind the scenes: photographing our promotional vans
You don’t often spend a working day in a photography studio watching promotional vans being shot — but that’s exactly how the Promovan team spent a cold January day.
With our launch fast approaching, we knew it was essential to showcase our promotional vans in the best possible way. Our goal was simple: create clean, striking imagery that puts the focus firmly on the vehicles themselves. No distractions. No clutter. Just beautifully shot branded vans that act as a blank canvas for creative ideas.
By keeping the photography and editing minimal, we wanted potential clients to instantly imagine how our vans could be transformed for their own campaigns, events, or brand activations.
Finding the perfect studio
Once the vision was clear, the next step was finding the right team to bring it to life. After extensive research, we discovered Blue Creek Studio — a hidden gem just 15 miles from our Fareham HQ.
Their minimalist white infinity cove was ideal for vehicle photography, and their experience shooting cars was a huge bonus. The standout feature, however, was their four-metre turntable, which allowed us to capture our fleet from multiple angles and create a varied, high-impact image set.
After an eight-hour day transporting vans, battling winter rain, cleaning, drying, and resetting shots, the effort was more than worth it. We left the studio confident we had created something that would support our business long-term.
